Overview

The Epic Application Analyst understands system build and functionality, can analyze and understand business workflows, and has the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet organizational goals. The primary responsibilities include collaborating with end users to evaluate, design, build, test, train, and implement within Epic and other third-party solutions. The Epic Application Analyst demonstrates excellent customer service, aligning with the standards of Covenant's Vision, Mission, and Values, and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates functional knowledge of Epic, third-party solutions, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with customers, capturing business and technical requirements.
• Assesses workflows, identifies gaps, and develops workflows with customers for new solutions or functionalities.
• Designs, builds, and configures Epic modules and supporting third-party solutions; maintains process documentation.
• Develops and maintains test scripts; performs testing per department requirements.
• Ensures application changes and upgrades function correctly.
• Follows change control and quality assurance standards; documents system changes and provides training as needed.
• Troubleshoots issues, escalates when necessary, and proposes resolutions.
• Participates in or leads cross-functional projects, communicates project status, barriers, and milestones.
• Provides regular updates to leadership.
• May rotate on-call for 24/7 emergency support and provide remote support if required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelors preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in Healthcare, IT, or finance/accounts receivable; Epic experience preferred.
• In lieu of degree, 2+ years of relevant experience and willingness to obtain an Associates within 3 years.
• Vendor certification in specific applications required within 6 months of course completion.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Strong understanding of departmental policies, workflows, and interdepartmental relations.
• Experience with Epic and related applications preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, web browsing, issue tracking, and email; willingness to learn.
• Effective project management skills, including leading meetings and resolving conflicts.
• Positive attitude, team player, capable of working independently.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Approachable, confidentiality, adaptability, and self-direction.

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, talking, hearing, near vision.
• Occasional lifting of 0-10 lbs., and other physical activities as described.
