Join Sanofis innovative team and contribute to cutting-edge drug discovery research. We are looking for a motivated student to join our Biochemistry team and utilize numerous assays to investigate small molecule modulation of target protein activity. Overall, the student will master assay development and small molecule screening processes, such as assay optimization, protein quantification, automation and statistical data handling methods.

Main Responsibilities

  • A variety of Biochemistry assays that will lead to the discovery of new chemical leads in a drug discovery program.

  • Get exposure to multiple biochemistry readouts including AlphaLISA, Fluorescent Polarization and HTRF techniques.

  • Learn procedures for High Throughput Assay Validation.

  • Get exposure to automation systems and become familiar with scheduling software.

  • Analyze and interpret data to support the development of novel drug candidates.

  • Document experimental results and present findings to the team.

  • Participate in lab meetings and contribute to the advancement of ongoing research projects.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelors degree in pharmacology, Biochemistry, or other related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

  • A strong desire to investigate new methods and establish processes in a laboratory setting.

  • Thorough knowledge of good laboratory practices with notebook record keeping and data analysis

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
